jTodo List 1.2 Released

Posted on July 23, 2007 at 10:20 pm by Joe in News

Another release about a month after the last one. Got a few features someone posted on the forum. If you’re interested in new features let me know. I’m against feature bloat though, so if it’s a choice between not being bloated and a feature, not being bloated will win.

Check the page for the changes. Feedback welcomed.

There is a new version of jTodo List out. It fixes a few bugs, and adds some features.

Also, I didn’t realize this, but the download links weren’t working. They are working now

Enjoy.

A new piece of software has been added to the list we are giving away here now. This is jTodo List. It’s a simple todo list to for keeping track of tasks. Let me know if you have any feature requests. I’ll do my best, but keep in mind I just do this in my free time, sometimes I’m just too busy. I’ll try my best though.

Type Setting Tool Tutorial

I made a tutorial for the Type Setting Tool a while ago, and guess I forgot to make a post about it. Make sure you check it out, it shows you how to make a simple text effect using the Type Setting Tool Plus and VirtualDub. If you have any questions ask in the forum.

Type Setting Tool Plus

I’m looking for ideas for new features for the type setting tool. School is letting out soon, and with just work on my plate I should be able tow ork on this a little more in my free time. Anyway, I was wondering if there were any features anyone would like to see implemented in the Type Setting Tool. I have a few in mind, but figured I’d take some requests too.

Here are some of what I have in mind.

  • Better Language Support - I only know for sure it works with english and japanese, but if there are other languages of interest let me know.
  • Scripting Variables - Something to give more control over transitions mostly is what I’m thinking now.
  • Scripting Files - Allowing you to save features that you want (I’m thinking XML format that can be easily editted). It will be able to be saved from the GUI, but not imported, only processed. I can introduct a command line tool for processing scripts if there is interest. It can help automate a process…

So yea that’s what I have so far. If there are any more suggestions just post a comment. I’ll probably start working on this in the coming weeks, so look foward to ssome new stuff.

The 1 new feature is the Global Effects. Previously you could add the effect after \r to the beginning of the line, now you can do that in addition to having a globally set effect.

Type Setting Tool 3.0

Beta testing for the piece of software will start either later today or tomorrow. Look foward to a great piece of software. It has a very good GUI (imo), and some added features. New features are easier to add too. So if you have any feature requests, make them in the forum, and I’ll see what I can do for you. The current feature set for 3.0 is done. I have some ideas for things for 3.1, but I want to make sure the basic functionality is working correctly first.
